  • Option For Karavan Trailer Winch Stand
  • Hi Michael, While we don't have any way of knowing what winch stand goes on any specific trailer, it is possible we have an option for a winch stand for your Karavan trailer. The only option we have for a stand is the CE Smith Winch Stand # CE31013G. This is a 30" tall stand and will clamp around a 2" wide trailer tongue.

  • Recommended Replacement Winch for a 2002 Ranger 185VS Trailer
  • Don, from what I can see, it looks like you've currently got a Fulton winch on your 2002 Ranger 185VS trailer. I did some poking around and I believe the Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch with Strap and Adjustable Handle # FW16000101 would work great. This winch has a 1,600 lb capacity which is cutting it a bit close so I'd recommend going a bit bigger with the Fulton XLT 2-Speed Trailer Winch # F142425 which has double the capacity.

  • Which is Better a Fulton or Dutton Lainson 2 Speed Trailer Winch
  • Hey Bill, so if it was me I would go with the Dutton Lainson winch part # DL17085 over the Fulton. I really like DL winches because they are well made, very reliable, and made in the USA. Fulton winches aren't terrible but DL winches win if for nothing else just overall quality.

  • Can A Winch Be Used To Pull A Boat & Trailer In And Out Of A Garage With An Incline Driveway
  • As long as the winch rope of the Superwinch LT3000 ATV Winch # SW1130220 has tension on it and the boat/trailer weighs less than its 3,000lb capacity you shouldn't have an issue pulling the boat in or out of the garage. You'll want to make sure that you properly mount the winch in the garage so that the weight of the boat/trailer doesn't yank the winch out while in use. You can use some wedge anchor bolts to secure it to the concrete floor.

  • Solution for Needing Replacement Ratchet for Fulton T1802 Winch
  • Hey David, so the Fulton T1802 was discontinued quite a while ago. Unfortunately, this means that replacement parts for the winch are no longer around. The best solution is to replace it with a similar winch like the Fulton Single Speed Trailer Winch - 1,800 lbs # F142306 as there isn't a way to get just the part you need.

  • Bulldog Winch and Mounting Bracket For a 2019 Toyota 4Runner
  • I have a couple options for you as the Bulldog Winch Off-Road Winch Mounting Plate for Toyota Tacoma Gen III # BDW23001 is only confirmed to fit the Gen 3 Tacoma and they do not have a separate plate for your 2019 Toyota 4Runner. First you can have a custom mounting plate created using the Universal Mounting Plate # BDW20291. This will need to be completed at a fabrication facility near you. Or you can use the Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit # BDW20155 with a front mount receiver....

  • Recommended Diameter and Length of Synthetic Rope for Fulton Single Speed Trailer Winch
  • Fulton recommends a 5/16" x 20' synthetic rope for the Fulton Single Speed Trailer Winch # F142201. The shortest 5/16" diameter synthetic rope we carry is the # BDW20226 which is 50' long so you will need to source that elsewhere.

  • Recommended Portable 10K Winch For Loading Equipment on a Tilt Trailer
  • I recommend using a Winch # SW39GR with the Hitch Mount # BDW20011. This way you only need a 2" receiver which is typically already on the rear of most trucks and are available for the front. For your tilt trailer you can weld on a Receiver # 337RT25806B where it works best to hold the winch. And we also have a Storage Mount # BDW20154 so you can place it in an easily dedicated area. The Winch # SW39GR does offer a wired or wireless remote. This is great as if you had an issue with the...

  • Recommended Winch for a 1986 ski Nautique 2001 Boat and DHL Trailer
  • For your 1986 ski Nautique 2001, I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch item # DL15440. It looks like your boat weighs 2,400 lbs dry and is almost 19' long so this 2-speed 3,200 lbs winch would work perfect. I'm not sure if you're using carpeted bunks or roller bunks but the item # DL15440 has plenty of capacity to work with both. You'll also need the Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook, 2" Wide x 20' Long - 4,000 lbs. item # DL24242. We do not have a complete rubber bumper assembly....

  • Can Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Winch be Hooked to 12V Outlet in Vehicle
  • Hey Shaun, Appreciate the purchase and I definitely understand wanting to be more efficient, but the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Trailer Winch # TW4015 should not be hooked up to the 12V outlet as the winch needs a direct connection to the battery. This is to protect the electronics and wiring on your vehicle as that outlet is not designed to pull the power a winch needs and could leads to all kinds of chaos.

  • Winch Recommendation for 260 Searay Sundancer that Weighs 7,000 lbs
  • Hey Joe, so when picking out a winch the key to it is going with one that has at least 50 percent of the total boat's weight as winch capacity if the trailer has wooden bunks. So the Fulton part # F142430 would work great. It is a two speed setup that has a hand brake so it will be easy to use and control.

  • What Size Winch Do I Need For A 1988 Grumman Jon Boat?
  • Hey Darrel thanks for your question. Based on the specs I can find online, the 1988 Grumman Jon Boat is not a particularly heavy boat. One spec sheet even said the boat weighs only 74 lbs not including any aftermarket accessories or fuel. I do not know the exact weight of your boat but even if you are loaded with gear and fuel, I think you can definitely get away with using a light to medium duty winch. My suggestion for a good boat trailer winch is the Dutton-Lainson # DL17027. This...

  • Will a Fulton F142416 Winch Replace An Obsolete Fulton F142208 Winch?
  • While I cannot find the exact specifications for the hole pattern on the Fulton 142208 I was able to find dimensions for the Fulton High-Performance 2-Speed Trailer Winch # F142416. It is going to have the same bolt pattern as the Fulton Winch # F142401 which I have included in the images below. As far as the strap height and alignment are concerned they are likely the same since they are both from Fulton.

  • How to Prevent Breakaway Battery From Draining Winch Battery Power
  • If I'm understanding you correctly the starter solenoid # PK5231201 is not the solution to your problem. Based on what you have described, it sounds like both the breakaway battery and winch battery are hooked to the 12V power coming from your 7-way. This is what I would expect to see, and would allow for a maintenance charge on both when hooked up to the tow vehicle. However, with the winch battery and breakaway battery on the same circuit you see the breakaway battery constantly charging...
